A SnArK GeTs JeAlOuS FrOm TiMe tO tImE.....

Welcome Friends!!!!

So, after much begging and pleading due to some extreme jealousy on the part of the Beige dog, she has FINALLY convinced her easily pushed over mother to start a blog for her! Her sister, Tierney, has had a blog since she was a baby in order to document her life and after hearing about this blog for the past year, Lana has finally had enough of standing in the shadows and is breaking out on her own! GO Beige Dog GO!!!!

Since my snarky little Beige dog is new to the blogging world, I suppose I should give y'all (we must speak in Texan around Beige) out there a little background on my favorite little snarky Lana Girl. Lan began her life in the hood, roaming the crazy streets of San Antonio and was found at the ripe ol' age of 4 weeks in a field near a high school in March of 2013! But, Beige doesn't resent her crazy, lonely beginnings because they have given her MAJOR street cred in the doggy community....all the dogs at daycare envy her street smarts! But, I digress....Beige was found by a student of Nathan's (her uncle) who brought the puppy straight into the school and right to Mr. Pipes' classroom because all the students know that by day, Mr. Pipes is a teacher, but by night he and his wife, Joyce, are animal rescuers extraordinaire!

Of course, Mr. Pipes agreed to take this little bundle of Beige and, after some thought, had the brilliant idea of asking his brother, Andrew, if he wanted a puppy. Now, keep in mind, this brother of his was, at that time, in Afghanistan with the US Air Force and wouldn't be back until late April, but, despite the distance and time, Andrew agreed to take on this little sharp toothed monster! I mean....how could he refuse this little monkey.....
Baby Lan!
And, so Lana joined the Pipes clan of San Antonio and spent her days waiting patiently to meet her new dad! Here are some pics of her early days....

So little!

During her first few months of her new found life, Beigy spent her time with her aunt and uncle, Joyce and Nathan. There she spent her time romping around with her first friend Ati, a black and white whippet. Ati and Lan spent many hours sprinting around the house and playing in the backyard....having the time of her life!

In April her dad, Andrew, finally came home from Afghanistan and little Lana FINALLY got to meet him.  Here she is meeting dad for the first time!

However, after a few days, Lan had to say farewell to her dad again while he went back to Tampa and prepared to move and buy a home in Colorado so she could move to a brand new house, in a brand new neighborhood, in a brand new state.....

After Lan's dad went back to Tampa she moved in with her grandparents because, in June of 2013, her aunt and uncle were selected as the parents of a new adopted baby girl, Grace, and, so began Lan's quest to become friends with her new buddy, Tony. Tony is another lucky rescue dog that was fortunate to find the Pipes clan! Much to Lan's chagrin, Tony immediately determined she was not worthy of his love and attention thus spending the majority of his time attempting to ignore her as best he could! Fortunately, Tony only had a few months to put up with the little snarky monster because her dad finally found a house in Colorado and was closing on the house at the beginning of August! Here are some pics of little Lan at Grandma and Grandpa Pipes house....

On August 2, 2013, Lana made the trip up to Colorado with her grandparents to move into her brand new home, in her brand new neighborhood, in her brand new state! YAY! She settled right in to her new home and made it hers by peeing in the bedroom and chewing up insulation in the basement! That's the funny thing about Lana...normal dogs chew up shoes or clothes or toys....Lana, however, is anything but normal! Lana likes to chew anything that in no way, shape or form resembles food in the slightest, including, but not limited to: insulation, window sills, wood trim, leashes, collars, etc! It's probably left over from her field hoping days where anything could be considered a meal!

Lana quickly settled into a quiet life with her new dad in her new house however, little did she know, that soon her life was about to take a drastic turn from quiet and nice to incredibly loud and wonderful! On August 12, 2013, Lana met a, what she considered HUGE, German Shepherd named Tierney. At first, Lana was TERRIFIED of Tierney and spent an entire 6 mile walk attempting to hide from Tier behind her dad's legs....but, later that evening Tier came over for dinner and, like they say, the rest is history....those two have been BFFs ever since! In addition to a new BFF, Lana also gained a mom who she loves (I think) more than her dad and a cat named Nietzsche! Nietzsche is the snarkiest cat around and has taught Lana all she knows in regards to being snarky....Lana LOVES her kitty and, when Lana is awake, the kitty hates her...but I often find Nietz sleeping next to Lan at night! Nietz is such a sneaky little snarkbox!

And, as for me, over the past year, Lana has become my favorite little beige dog that sleeps next to me, lets me, and only me, cuddle her, is my crazy running buddy and the sweetest pup a girl could ever ask for! She and I are practically inseparable when I'm at home and I wouldn't have it any other way! Although she started out a tiny pup in a field all alone, Lan sure has moved up in the world and now lives the life that every dog dreams....she has a Shepherd to protect her, a cat to play with her, has as many toys and bones she could ever want, and a mom and dad that love her dearly! I'd say she's one SUPER lucky pup!

Alright friends, now that you know the background of Lan's humble beginnings....now it's time to delve into the crazy things she spends her day doing! Stay tuned....she's got a wicked sweet life that is riddled with shenanigans! As they say....TTFN....ta ta for now!

Ciao,

BeIgE & ShAn
